As a Christian organisation, we are governed by our statement of faith, which is grounded on the authority of scripture, clearly articulated through historic Christian creeds of the early Church and Reformation; this includes Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, Westminster Confession of Faith, London Baptist Confession, Heidelberg Catechism. We committed to the truths of historic Biblical Christianity.
There is in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Triune God is identical in nature, equal in power and glory and equal in deserving worship and obedience.
The whole Bible is inspired by God, inerrant, supreme and the final authority in all of life and faith.
God, the father is the first person of the Trinity and the sovereign ruler and creator of the universe and all its inhabitants.
Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God, truly God and truly man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and lived a sinless life in obedience to the father. He taught with authority and all his words are true. On the cross He died in the place of sinners, bearing God’s punishment for their sins, redeeming them by His blood. He rose from the dead and in His resurrection body, ascended into heaven where He is exalted as Lord of all. He intercedes for His people in the presence of the Father. The Lord Jesus is coming again to this earth, personally, bodily, and visibly to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune God, distinct from the Father and Son while possessing all of the divine attributes. He makes the work of Christ effective to individual sinners, enabling them to turn to God and trust in Jesus Christ as their saviour. He convicts people of sin, He esteems Christ. and lives in all regenerated believers. He brings assurance of salvation and continues in sanctifying all believers and producing an increasing likeness to Christ and giving a true understanding of the Scriptures.
All men and women are created in the image of God, each having have inherent and equal dignity and worth. Their primary purpose is to obey, worship and love God and to love each other. However, after the fall of mankind, the whole of humanity is sinful and guilty, every aspect of human nature and the world is corrupted and therefore subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
Only through repentance and faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, are we reconciled to God by the Holy Spirit and enabled to live and enjoy Him forever.
